Beijing is increasingly focusing on energy production from alternative sources, with the aim of achieving 60 percent of its installed capacity with zero emissions by 2040. Hence, in the future, China will bolster the application of distributed energy systems (DES), developing energy storage systems and monitoring innovative structure design

At present, the momentum of global new energy industry development is strong, its new installed capacity has exceeded the traditional fossil energy, marking the "turning point" of alternating old and new energy officially come. According to the "2016-2017 China New Energy Industry Annual Report" Issued by China Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  The report pointed out that as the end of 2016, China's new installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation was 34.54 million kW, the cumulative installed capacity was 77.42 million kW, the new and cumulative installed capacity were the world's first; new solar collectors totally reached 39.52 million square meters, the annual new wind power installed capacity was 19.3 million kW, biomass power generation installed capacity was 12.14 million kW; solar thermal power generation capacity of the total installed capacity was 28,000 kW; geothermal power generation installed capacity was 26,000 kW. However, in recent years, China's renewable energy industry is developing rapidly, the proportion of energy structure is still rising.

Sixty percent of renewable energy within twenty years

Meanwhile, the problem of "abandoning wind+water+ photovoltaic" has become increasingly prominent. According to the national plan, by 2020, the proportion of China's non-fossil energy has to reach 15%, experts estimate that wind power installed capacity will reach 210 million to 250 million kilowatts, photovoltaic installed capacity will reach 150 million kilowatts; by 2030, China's non-fossil energy ratio to 20 %, When the wind power plus photovoltaic installed capacity will reach 1 billion kilowatts. According to the forcast of "New Energy World Outlook 2016", by 2040, zero emissions of energy will account for 60% of the total installed capacity. In the next 25 years, the installed capacity of new energy power generation will add 8.6TW, wind power PV will account for 64%; new energy total investment of 114 billion $, wind power accounts for nearly 60%, Thus, China's global new energy pattern in the proportion is not so big, because China is facing "transition pain" which will be a huge obstacle to the development of new energy.

New Energy in Transition: Difficulties and Trends

Theoretically, Renewable energy should be rapid developing, but whether it can be achieving, which relying on both policy, market, technology. Locally, the province of Renewable energy and resource-rich has a serious lack of consuming capacity, and the power delivery to other provinces needs to be approved in a long run, resulting in the delivery construction is lagging behind, far behind the renewable energy installed and power generation growth rate. At present the eastern region has a large number of thermal power projects, But renewable energy has no market, based by unreasonable layout. To solve"abandoning wind+ water+ photovoltaic", the core technology breakthrough is the foundation, the market mechanism is the key. Today, in terms of technology, China has already started using intelligent wind control systems and intelligent dispatching systems in the Northeast ‘s wind farms to improve the accuracy of motor forecasts and wind power forecasts, while increasing wind power. In terms of policy, China will continue to increase the new energy inter-regional and cross-province trading mechanism and auxiliary peak-adjusting in the market, the future will be bringing up with  energy information systems, data interoperability as the market mechanisms.

Development direction: intervene of Energy Internet

With the deepening of the study of energy Internet, fossil energy is going to be replaced by large-scale renewable energy alternatively , which provides a broad space for the development of energy Internet, large-scale development of energy Internet for energy system’s reform has added new impetus. The first is , creating the value for the user; the second is , profiting  for the enterprise; the third is,  sharing the new ideas. While the marginal cost of renewable energy is low, the distance from the user is much close, and has the number and scattered characteristics, which are highly fit for the energy Internet decentralized, flat, open the characteristics. In the northwest region of China, the smart building district has achieved the successful application of energy Internet. It combines photovoltaic, geothermal, energy storage and data management in one, the new energy power generation can be self-sufficient, the excess power has shared in Internet, if the district is not enough electricity, it can obtain part of the electricity from the large power grid.

Future outlook and advice for the new energy in China

First, Improving  the local to the central layout, as soon as possible to achieve national connectivity. The future of wind power layout in China focuses on: Before 2020, based by land-based wind power, and soon carry out offshore wind power demonstration; 2021 - 2030, land and offshore wind power development, then carry out offshore wind power demonstration; 2031 - 2050, achieving The comprehensive development of wind power on the West and the offshore wind power. Second, strengthen the transformation of energy, open up the international market periodically. China should take advantage of the Belt and Road Initiative, by using export - oriented development of photovoltaic industry and promoting the cooperation process of PV enterprises to accelerate the application of international production capacity, and actively explore emerging markets such as South America, India, Africa and the Middle East to enhance the competitive advantage of China's PV industry. Third, Adhere to innovation, protection in the field of solar energy industry by a healthy and sustainable development. Mainly to establish and improve the solar heating management system; support Energy Internet as for third-party platform construction; to achieve the solar-based source and load-end complementary system implementation. Through the financial and tax policies to encourage solar thermal power generation technology and industrial development of enterprises, innovating the clean and recycle energy power generation as the application model for the new form of renewable energy, in a short way, as timely at the development period to give higher tariff subsidies from the central government. Fourth, Keeping on the new mode of efficient use and increasing the strategic reserve simultaneously, while exploring other distributed production of new models gathering with the biological gas and geothermal energy. In 2030, 2050, at the moment of medium and long-term plans,  to achieve mining capacity under 2000 meters of geothermal resources, which will totally technically support carbon energy accounted for 2% capacity for the next 20 years as much as we scheduled. Certainly, In the way of strengthening international cooperation, Chinese policy makers have to open their mind, allowing Chinese and foreign geothermal cooperation projects jointly, active formulating the new  geothermal and geothermal management approaches  without any hesitation. To sum up, China will strengthen the management and application of distributed energy systems (DES) in several stages in the future, cooperating with international energy companies in the field of new energy generation, energy storage and monitoring design innovative program for the contribution of "2040 Sustainable Development Plan".
