The Expo centered around energy officially opened on June 10 in Astana, Kazakhstan

"Energy of the Future". This is the theme of Expo 2017, which opened on Saturday, June 10, in Astana, Kazakhstan, reflecting the international community's concern over the issue of energy consumption and its impact on the planet. The main objective of the event, involving over 115 countries and 22 major international organizations, is to foster dialogue and develop new skills to better plan and control the use of all forms of energy, minimizing damage for the environment. It is expected that during the 3 months of opening, 2 million tourists will visit the Expo, for a total number of visits of about 5 million. It is estimated that 85% of the total number of visitors will be citizens of Kazakhstan and 15% of foreigners, most of whom come from the countries of the Community area of ​​the Independent States and from China.
