The future of the global energy industry will be discussed in the heart of the Middle East. The 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), being held from Nov 13 to Nov 16, is a truly global platform where oil and gas professionals can meet and share the most advanced know-how in the sector, and help draw a clearer picture of the international outlook for the oil and gas industry. With an exhibition area of over 135,000 square meters, the event will host more than 2,000 companies from 135 countries around the world. The technical conference, sponsored by SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers), will feature 119 sessions and host over 10,000 delegates, many of the sector’s leading decision-makers, including the energy and petroleum ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Oman, Bahrain, and the CEOs of major companies in the industry, including BP, Total, and Lukoil. This is the impressive lineup of the event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The three key words of this year’s edition are transformation, diversification and evolution, as the pivots of the evolutionary process of the global energy sector, as it stands poised to face the challenges and opportunities on the horizon.
