To gauge the importance of this news, one need only consider that the United States is one of the main global LNG producers and exporters. The differenc is 18 MW generated by natural gas to 1,291 MW generated by renewable energy sources. Specifically, 707 MW came from wind power, 522 MW from solar, 33 MW from biomass and 29 MW from hydroelectric. According to the report from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), coal, oil and nuclear did not contribute further to power production.
