According to a Blue Book report, in 2015 Beijing produced 213 million tons of petroleum, ranking second behind the US

With a production of 213 million tons in 2015 China ranked as the second country in the world in petrol refining, directly behind the US. This news was given in a recent Blue Book report, which emphasizes that Beijing has registered a growth of 1.8 percent over the previous year. In the field of liquefied natural gas, however, refining has reached 135 billion cubic meters with an annual increase of 5.6 percent. In turn figures for consumption increased by 5.8 percent amounting to 518 million tonnes per year, while consumption of natural gas grew by 2.9 percent, amounting to 185.5 billion cubic meters.
