Lí Lifan

Associate research professor, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences


Lifan Li is an associate research professor at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, advisor to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipality and Secretary General of the Center for Shanghai Cooperation Organization Studies. He was a program chair of the National Planning Project of Philosophy and Social Sciences, as well as of the National Project sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council in 2006-2008. He participated in the project for Consultation on Decision- Making for International Metropolises Studies in 2006 and was a chief drafter for the Shanghai Municipal plan on Overseas Chinese Affairs. He has lectured widely in the U.S., Japan, Russia, Central Asia and Europe, and published articles on a variety of topics within China and abroad.
