Abu Dhabi International Oil Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), the yearly oil and gas industry summit will be held 10-14 November 2019.
The “World Forum on Urban Forests Milano Calling 2019”, a 2-day event held as part of the Triennale di Milano, dedicated to ideas and actions for urban and other forests around the world, will be held in Milan on November 21-22. The event follows on from the working session that began during Climate Week at the 2019 Climate Summit. The Triennale di Milano will hosting it on November 21, national tree day, together with partners from the World Forestation Forum (FAO, SISEF and PoliMi), one year since the first World Forum on Urban Forests in Mantua and looking ahead to the next World Forestry Forum planned for China in 2022. Representatives of national and local governments, professors, professionals, technicians and associations will deal with the key issues related to protecting forests and implementing urban forestry.
Following the climate change summit of September 23, 2019 at theUN offices in New York, COP 25 will be meeting in Santiago, Chile to find an agreement between countries on reducing CO2 emissions and verifying fulfillment of the commitments made in the agreements of 2015.
“All options are open” says the secretary general of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Mohammad Barkindo. At the summit on December 5-6, the group will, he says, make a “strong and appropriate” decision to put the market “on the road to greater and more lasting stability.” Faced by a weakening demand for oil, and with the price per barrel stagnating, new and deep production cuts by OPEC and its allies are expected to be made for the fourth year running.
