In a press release, the Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia announced that the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and countries outside the Cartel will be held in Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, on 19 May.

The CEM consists of 24 countries and the EU, who together account for 90% of all investment in clean energy in the world and 75% of global GHG emissions. The Tenth Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM10) will be hosted by Canada during the week of 27 May 2019. CEM focuses on practical co-operation, the exchange of good ideas and experiences within green solutions and the involvement of the private sector.

The OPEC Plus Conference is due to take place on 25-26 June in Vienna, when a decision on the oil production target for the second half of 2019 is expected.

OPEC+, the organization representing all petroleum exporting countries plus Russia, is to meet in Vienna on July 1-2. On the sidelines of the summit a decision will be taken on whether to prolong the oil output cuts agreed in December 2017. What that decision will be is still anything but clear due to great uncertainty over global oil demand for the second half of 2019 and the added pressure of U.S. sanctions on Iran and Venezuela.
