The third edition of the Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum will be held in Abu Dhabi on January 11-13. International and regional political and corporate leaders will gather at the event with the task of setting the global energy agenda for next year. The Forum will focus on the themes of energy demand and innovation in East and South-East Asia. This year’s program includes the future of oil, energy digitalization and energy diversification. The Forum, promoted by the Atlantic Council, will once again be hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The event is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Mubadala Investment, and is co-chaired by the giant private company Crescent Petroleum.

Over three thousand participants are expected to attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum scheduled to take place in Davos on January 22-25, 2019. More than thirty heads of state and government leaders have already confirmed they will participate in the event, which will convene under the theme of “Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
Egypt will host the next Egypt Petroleum Show 2019 (EGYPS), the international oil and gas event now in its third edition, to be held in Cairo on January 11-13. According to the organizers dmg events, over twenty thousand participants are expected to attend this year’s show to explore and outline new prospects for national and international cooperation. The theme of the three-day conference is "Delivering the Energy Needs of Tomorrow".
Under the overall theme, ‘Innovative Solutions for Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Consumption and Production’, UNEA-4 will address: environmental challenges related to poverty and natural resources management, including sustainable food systems, food security and halting biodiversity loss; life-cycle approaches to resource efficiency, energy, chemicals and waste management; and innovative sustainable business development at a time of rapid technological change.
