The European House-Ambrosetti and Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) are organizing the Asia-Europe Leaders Cooperation Dialogue conference to be held in Rome on December 4-5. Over 300 people are expected to attend, including high-ranking European and Asian government officials, as well as business owners and opinion leaders. The agenda will include discussions on subjects ranging from the deglobalization of the digital economy to the Belt and Road Initiative and climate change.

The fourth Mediterranean Dialogues event kicks off one of the major global forums for dialog and reflection about the wider Mediterranean promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ISPI. Leading politicians including the president of Iraq, Barham Salih, the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, the secretary general of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, and the foreign ministers of Egypt, Iran, Jordan and Palestine, will be guests of the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enzo Moavero Milanesi. Med is the annual high-level initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ISPI (Italian Institute for International Political Studies) in Rome. The event aims at drafting a “positive agenda” for the Mediterranean by stimulating debate and promoting new ideas, rethinking traditional approaches and addressing shared challenges at both the regional and the international level. Rome MED builds upon four pillars: Shared Prosperity, Shared Security, Migration, and Civil Society and Culture.

The 2018 meeting of the G20 Leaders' Summit will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 10 years after the first G20 Leaders' Summit took place in Washington, DC.

Argentina has selected the theme, 'Building consensus for fair and sustainable development,' for the 2018 G20 Leaders' Summit, and has identified three key issues for the agenda: the future of work, infrastructure for development, and a sustainable food future.

Meetings will take place throughout 2018 to prepare for the Leaders' Summit. The G20 is made up of 19 countries and the European Union. The 19 countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
