Denmark and Sweden will be co-hosting the 9th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM). There will be a week-long energy conference – Nordic Clean Energy Week – where key actors both from non-profits, international organisations and businesses will meet. Held in co-operation with Malmö, the conference will focus on promoting the green transition. The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) – consisting of 24 nations and the EU, who together account for 90 percent of all investment in clean energy in the world and 75 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. CEM focuses on practical co-operation, the exchange of good ideas and experiences within green solutions and the involvement of the private sector.

The World Energy Leaders’ Summits (WELS) are exclusive high-level events organised by the World Energy Council to support the global energy leaders’ community in on-going dialogue on important energy matters, including energy transition and transformation. The Argentina WELS Grand Energy Transition – the Latin American Context will be taking place as an official side-event of the 2018 G20 Summit.

MIOGE is Russia’s largest international exhibition of oil and gas equipment and technologies. The exhibition has been taking place since 1993. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will host, in Vienna, the 7th OPEC International Seminar under the theme, ‘Petroleum – cooperation for a sustainable future’. The Seminar will provide fresh impetus to key petroleum industry issues and challenges, helping to enhance existing avenues of dialogue and cooperation, while stimulating new ones. The Seminar will feature presentations by officials from energy and oil ministries, executives from oil companies and financial firms, and other representatives from international organizations and research institutions.
